Awaken Services Questionnaire
Hello Zach, Ricky, and the team! I have completed the questionnaire you sent me for the Videography/Photography position and have attached the final projects, behind-the-scenes stills, production notes, and details about my role in the project for your review. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me at rrmj323@gmail.com. Thank you for taking the time to consider my application, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a wonderful day!
Question 1: What cameras are you most familiar/comfortable working with?
I am familiar with Sony cameras, specifically the Sony a7SIII, which I recommended for purchase and became the main video camera during my in-house position. It is an outstanding video camera. For photography, I used a Sony a7RIII, which is excellent with 42 megapixels and also served as a B-Cam for multi-camera video projects. The lenses I used were Zeiss 50mm, Sony 90mm, and Sony 24-70 GM.
For my freelance business, I own and use the Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm X-E3. I use them in combination with the following Fuji lenses: XF16mm, XF16-55mm, and XF50mm.

Fujifilm Minimal Travel Set-Up (X-T3). On location in Europe. Video.
Question 2: What (if any) video editing software are you adept at?
I have experience in video editing using Final Cut Pro, and I have passed the LinkedIn assessment. However, as my projects became more complex, I switched to Adobe Premiere Pro, which I have used for over three years. I also use After Effects to enhance my videos and footage and have passed the LinkedIn assessment for both programs.
Even though I am proficient in After Effects regarding videography and video, I am currently enrolled in the School of Motion, a leading motion design learning platform, to explore the graphic design aspect of the software and add motion to my vector-based designs. I also use programs like Illustrator and Photoshop (Passed LinkedIn Assessment) to create elements I use in After Effects.
I aim to learn 3D programs like Cinema 4D and Blender once I am comfortable with my motion skills and graphic design in After Effects.
Question 3: What photo editing software are you adept at?
As a photographer, I use Adobe Lightroom to organize my photo library and for non-destructive editing. For more complex tasks, I turn to Adobe Photoshop. I also have experience using Capture One.
Question 4: Can you share an example of the work you are most proud of in which you were the videographer/cinematographer?
I am incredibly proud of the MyBeer project I produced in Eastern Europe. Despite being a fantastic experience, it was also challenging due to the language barriers I had to overcome. I worked with a translator while directing talent and had to make the most of the limited equipment available. As a result, creative solutions were a must. Once the project was complete, it opened up new opportunities for me as a freelancer in Europe. Thanks to the project, I was able to develop a professional network abroad. Overall, it was an intense yet unique experience.

Question 5: Can you share an example of the work you are most proud of in which you were the photographer?
In my in-house position at Audio Advisor, I created numerous high-quality product photos for digital and print use. While the images used for the front cover of the company's monthly physical catalog were often provided by the companies that sold the product being showcased, the audio rack shown in the photo was owned by Audio Advisor itself. The company had recently released a new color finish and wanted high-quality images for the cover. It was a great feeling to know that this catalog was being sent out to thousands of homes across the United States with my photo on the cover.

Question 6: Can you share an example image which showcases your ability to light a scene/shot?
Photo Examples:
Video Example One: I started with the hero shot while incorporating graphics to differentiate the three models. I also used a light with a grid to give the background some depth with a bit of a spotlight effect. After that, I went in for some close-up work to showcase the stands and inform the viewer of the options available.
